Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite places, LES EAUX DE CHANEL writes a new chapter in the history of CHANEL perfume. A getaway. A fresh breeze. A journey in each incense. Chanel added a new scent called PARIS-ÉDIMBOURG to this collection in June 2021.
In the majestic and mysterious Scottish countryside, Olivier Polge was attracted by two signature scents: juniper berry and peaty wood. Those signature scents fueled the idea of scent with the power of plants, according to the traditional British men. He spotlit the lively and distinctive notes of juniper, cypress, and lavender. He then chose cedar for its enveloping comfort and vetiver for slightly smoky accents. Finally, Olivier Polge added a warm scent with notes of vanilla and musk because he realised how the land’s harshness could influence the way of life.

So PARIS-ÉDIMBOURG, the most beautiful statue in the LES EAUX DE CHANEL collection, became a reality. Behind the cool scent, it exudes warm and soothing notes with just one spray. Olivier Polge once explains: “It could be the fragrance of a tweed jacket borrowed from the men’s wardrobe that was such an inspiration to Gabrielle Chanel. Like the scent after a stroll through the countryside, it is steeped in the odours of the wild landscape. ”
